The whitest boy alive: dance! (but quietly, please)

Some say it’s electro-indie, while others say it’s disco-chill. I hate labels when it comes to categorize music, but it’s certainly hard when it comes down to classify the music made by The whitest boy alive. On their most recent album, Rules (2009), they make danceable music, indeed. The thing about their tracks is that they make you dance, but in a timid way. I realize that it gets complicated to describe you all this. Perhaps the first thing you should know about them is that they make great songs; that listening to their music is addictive, and that it makes you dance almost as if you don’t want to. But it is certainly impossible not to lose oneself into their peculiar groove. Rules is the best record I've listened to so far this year. I invite you all that you listen to it. (And you know what? Try not to dance while at it...)

I could listen to "Courage" over and over again. Tocaron el día de mi cumpleaños en Paris... I was there, we were there... but the tickets were sold out... why, oh, why? Saludos desde Lyon...
