Nana Cadavieco: songs from an exposed soul
In Caracas you don't usually get to listen to good music proposals lead by a female singer. I don't know why, since we a have a lot of good singers in the city. So when you actually have the chance to listen to great music made by a woman you don't just thank that, you celebrate it. Nana Cadavieco sang as a featured artist with Masseratti 2lts and Gaelica, two of the best bands of Caracas. Exposé (2009) is her first chance to prove that she can also deliver an amazing performance as a solo artist. When you take a look at the credits of the record you can confirm why this album sounds so great. Erik Aldrey does a flawless job as the producer of the record, Wincho Schaffer -a musical legend of Caracas rock- plays the bass and Rafael Cadavieco -Nana's brother and drummer of legendary Zapato 3- plays the drums. The musical guests are Ezequiel Sarreno from Cabezon Key -who offers a great guitar riff at Rincón-, Gabriel Figueira from Gaelica and Abiram Bizuela. Nana's voice sounds pleasantly versatile: Exposé is an intimate record with songs that speaks about instropection (Canción de cuna, Shanti, Drive alone, Posición fetal) but it also contains hard rock tunes (Rincón, Voy por ti, Let me go). I had a long time since I didn't listen to an album made in Caracas and sang by a woman that sounded so great like this one.
